It's, of course, a flying school only, but alongside it, we will be having a vibrant Club where members can enjoy clubbing and a variety of exciting recreational activities beyond flying. Since it's essentially a flying club, it's crucial for its members to be fliers who will be engaging in flying activities. Non-fliers shall not be eligible to become members of GFZ Flying Club.

GFZ Flying Club distinguishes itself from other flying training organizations by exclusively offering training on Aero Sports Aircraft for recreational purposes, rather than focusing on Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot License programs. While some individuals offer comparable training, GFZ Flying Club distinguishes itself by operating from its own airfield and prioritizing comprehensive flight instruction over merely providing joyrides.  

We advise practicing flying in your own aircraft, but since the trainee is not yet sure if he can afford or want to pursue this kind of flying, we would first train on club-owned aircraft only. Later, if the trainee wants to, he will have the opportunity to buy his own aircraft. To begin with, we conduct demonstration flights on the different aircraft types in our inventory, allowing you to acquire a thorough understanding of the operation of each aircraft type, and then we explain to you the financial considerations linked to its ownership. Following your selection of the aircraft that best meets your needs and budgetary constraints, you proceed to initiate the training.

To be eligible for flying lessons at the Club, an individual must either obtain the Club's Flying Membership or purchase a flying machine through the Club. Individuals who are not the members of the Club and wish to use their own flying machines may access the Club's flying facilities, provided they pay a higher rate than Club Members and deposit a security fee with the Club.  For individuals acquiring the flying machine through the Club, the flying facilities will be available only until the completion of their flying training. Once the training is completed, the individual would only be able to avail the flying facilities as provided to the non-members.

At first, flying training courses will focus solely on Powered Paraglider and Powered Parachute. However, as we progress and introduce Powered Hang Glider, Motor Glider and Light Sport Aircraft, training for those will also commence. 

Yes, we do plan to start a training school for helicopters at the GFZ Flying Club, but as of now the launching date has not been finalised.

We absolutely love flying training on Powered Paraglider and Powered Parachute! The main reason is that both options, particularly the Powered Paraglider, are incredibly economical to own and operate, and they are also quite easy to learn. Moreover, it's important to note that currently, there is no requirement for a license to operate either of these types of flying machines in India.

Of course, there is an alternative option: learning to fly on a Club-owned PPG. However, we recommend that you focus solely on your personal PPG for training. This will allow you to become familiar with your personal PPG, thereby guaranteeing that you are already cognizant of its intricacies when you perform solo on it. This is in addition to the fact that, if you do not own a PPG, you would be unable to operate it after your training is complete, as these machines are generally not available for rental.
